Call me Pollyanna...

These are my thoughts on the issue, and, as you will see, they are firmly rooted in hard science.

The characters below translate as "Better to light a candle than curse the darkness". This is my political philosophy.

A Chinese proverb - 'Don't curse the darkness - light a candle.' Used by Adlai Stevenson (1900-65), praising Eleanor Roosevelt in an address to the United Nations General Assembly in 1962 - 'She would rather light candles than curse the darkness, and her glow has warmed the world.'

The Govermentium new item has been floating around for at least 18 years (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governmentium) which suggests an interesting hypothesis...

Ladies and Germs, I postulate the existence of a new subatomic particle, invisible to the human eye. Like a black hole that is only known by the existence of a nearby binary star, the moron-at-large (or moron-without-portfolio) is only known to exist by virtue of the existence of Governmentium. After all, Governmentium could not exist were it not continuously enabled by the inertia of the morons-at-large. We know that Governmentum is inert and cannot sustain activity as a solo effort.

As Darwin would suggest, we should not expect this complex reaction to change anytime soon, for the evolutionary processes that would permit morons-at-large to develop the sort of collective intelligence necessary to act cooperatively to change the course of Governmentium processes would require eons of evolutionary activity ...

And what is that I hear? Bring it home, Christy?!! Ok... the kicker is, that scientists have discovered that a widely available catalyst is highly effective in increasing the activity of moron-at-large particles: HEAT. And what heat source might the morons-at large use to instigate this collective intelligence attribute? The candle.

Thank you and goodnight. <>

Whoa, someone had a good time at her parent-family local riding candidates debate!! Got you all stirred up, creative and feisty, Christy! Loved that 'Administratium' joke when it was passed around the internet some years back. How many people passed that one around the office!? So, did you get Ben to go?
