Arrived safely to Delhi. It is great to see Michelle again. Neither of us can believe it has been 3 years since our last adventure.

I am still in a bit of 'shock' - not too sure how to even express this into words. The hotel is very posh - almost too posh for me. I appreciated it last night when I arrive exhausted after 20 hours of travel. We stepped out of the hotel into an immediate assualt to most of my senses. This is just what I had always read about India. Hotels can be so sterile and they shelter you from the real world outside.

There was a 'miscommunication' on my travel arrangements but I am hoping that it will all be sorted out soon. I understand there is only 5 people in our group for the India leg so that will be nice and intimate. Find with me!

My initial impression? I could barely breathe when I exited the airport. My lungs seriously went into spasm with the smog. Glad I brought my Ventolin puffer although I seem to be find today. Perhaps it was just the air around the airport. So many people - everywhere - in caos, beeping horns, confusion, deisel mixed with insence, everyone trying to sell you something or get you into their rickshaw....'where can I take you' .... very persistent and annoying but most polite! And yes, the child beggars and limbless beggars on the street are very real and disturbing. But this is India. I will get used to it. Right now, I am a bit 'numb'.

Will keep this short for now. Only one terminal is working and I want to give Michelle a chance to get on....
